Enroll in the Honors Program
The Madison College Honors Program is a College-wide, project-based program open to all qualified students. Honors students work with an Honors Supervising Faculty Member over the course of a semester to develop an Honors Project within the faculty member’s discipline. Examples of past projects include: writing a literature review, inventing a new product or process, writing a book or screenplay, creating artwork, composing new music, developing a business plan or marketing campaign, conducting research, or developing new mobile apps.
Students can enroll in 2 or 3 Honors Project credits per semester, and up to 9 Honors Project credits during their time at Madison College. Honors Project credits count as General Elective credits. Tuition is charged based on the number of Honors Project credits taken, and is the same cost as regular (10-code or 20-code) course credits at Madison College. If you successfully complete four or more Honors Project credits (2 or 3 Projects) with a minimum AB average, you will receive a medallion that rivals the Olympic medals!
Students can enroll and participate in the Honors Program if they have earned a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA and have completed at least 12 degree credits at Madison College, or if they are an incoming high school student with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or guidance counselor.
