How to Log Your Service Hours
There are two types of service hours you can log, "Experience" or "Event". An "Experience" is something off campus that did not have an event in WolfPack Connect associated with it. An "Event" is an on campus event that was posted in WolfPack Connect.
If you scroll to the bottom of this page you can select the "Service Hours Guide" tab to see a full step-by-step guide.
Why are Service Hours Important?
National and International Recognition:
If you earn 100 service hours in one 12 month period you can earn either the President's Service Award or the International Service Award. These awards come with a medallion and trophy (respectively) and a letter signed by the President of the USA and the President of Madison College.
In addition, you can add this recognition to your resume and college applications to help you stand out.
Mental Health
Those who engage in their communities through service work are more likely to feel a sense of belonging. Volunteerism promotes happiness and overall wellness. Simply put, it feels good and makes you feel a sense of connection to the world around you.
