Spring Break Volunteer Week

Are you looking for more service hours this semester? Do you want to make some new friends? Just want something to do over spring break? Look no further! The Volunteer Center is hosting its annual Spring Break Volunteer week from March 16th-20th.

Based from Truax Campus, this alternative spring break activity will allow students to obtain over 30 service hours. Students will meet at Truax campus daily and drive to volunteer sites together. Breakfast and lunch will be provided every day; dinner will be available Friday only. Reasonable dietary accommodations can be made.

Monday & Tuesday (7:00-4:45) students will travel in a group to Portage to volunteer at a Habitat for Humanity Re-Store.

Wednesday & Thursday (7:00-4:15) students will travel in a group to Waukesha to volunteer at a Habitat for Humanity build site and Re-Store.

Friday we will be partnering with the UW-Madison Morgridge Center for a joint volunteer activity. Location will be in Dane County, time TBD.

All students are welcome to attend but must be able to list upwards of 50 pounds and able to attend the full week. Some acceptations may be made. Students must wear weather-appropriate clothing that may get dirty during volunteering. Please email edemarte@madisoncollege.edu if you have any concerns or accommodations.
