Details

The Intercultural Exchange’s Catching Cultural Series is a monthly program designed to create opportunities for students to learn about cultures beyond their own, while also encouraging participants to share their own cultural identities and experiences.

Join us for a hands-on workshop with Kimberly Crowley as she demonstrates black ash preparation and guides participants in creating a Ho-Chunk black ash basket. Kimberly comes from the Hall family, known for their tradition of master Ho-Chunk basket weaving—one of the longest-practiced Ho-Chunk art forms.

12:30 - 1:00pm: Come learn more about Black Ash Basket Weaving
1:00pm - 3:00pm : Hands-on workshop, RVSP on WolfPack Connect (limited spots available).
