Many of you have reached out to inquire about our upcoming spring semester events. I am so excited to hear you are eager to participate. Therefore, I am attaching our schedule of events for the spring 2026 semester. Please note, the opportunity exists to have the club pay for you to attend the BLS course and become certified free of charge, if you attend two or more events this semester.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a medical certification that teaches skills to respond to cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and obstructed airways. BLS certification is required for students training to become healthcare professionals.
What does BLS certification include?
- CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for single and multiple responders,
- Using an AED (automatic external defibrillator),
- Caring for a patient who is choking,
- Giving high-quality chest compressions, and
- Delivering appropriate ventilations.
The flyer for the spring 2026 events is below. Take a look and see which ones you are able to attend! As the dates get closer, you will receive additional emails with links to register. I will send the Red Cross Blood Drive volunteer opportunity tomorrow. I don't want to send more than one email per day.
Sincerely,
Amy Lemkuil, Club Advisor
